About Us

We are Mandy’s Soul Food Kitchen and we’ve been the premier soul food restaurant here in Bolingbrook, IL, since 2017. With an emphasis on family, all of our food is handmade from scratch and we treat every customer as a guest in our home. Our family recipes have been crafted and perfected over several generations, and we offer the best catfish, oxtails, greens, black-eyed peas, smothered pork chops, beef short ribs, homemade mac & cheese, sweet potato pie, peach cobbler, cornbread, banana pudding, candied yams, and more. We offer catering, online ordering, and delivery, or feel free to dine-in with us. We’d love to have you as our personal guest! We also have live music, open mic night, karaoke, live sports, and you can host your own private event here, as we have 2 different rooms to choose from.

Stopped in for dinner recently. Greeted with friendly smile and patience. Ordered and found a table and waited. The atmosphere was comforting with an old school restaurant vibe. Just reminded you of that neighborhood family restaurant that everybody loved. They had old Motown hits playing in the background. One found themselves, singing and tapping their feet with anticipation of a good meal. After a not long of a wait my catfish dinner arrived. This was anticipated when ordering catfish. And let me tell you piping hot golden fried fluffy seasoned to perfection fish is what you want! From the first bite to the last was like yummy yum yum 😋. Needless to say my meal was fantastic. Every bit of home style cooking and taste that one can remember. The cabbage and candied yams were beyond delicious also. This is such amazing spot that includes a variety of options. Everyday has a special of the day. Which is nice to have options. Btw did I mention, they had banana pudding, lemon cake, and peach cobbler. 😋 However I did not get to try, my friend did and loved it. This is why I will be returning soon. Like real soon.

This was my 2nd time eating here and both times were great! I have zero complaints. My suggestion is to order ahead of possible because they cook the food fresh. The business is busy and they deserve it. Highly recommend.

The ox tails are unmatched best around pair it with the yams and cabbage top it off with some "red" kool-aid it's a winner

Ox Tails had great flavor greens were great also but the pork chops were kinda dry and underseasond to my liking cabbage could have used a little more as well but I'll definitely be back to try something different next time
